Roy Helu Up For NFL Rookie Of The Week

For the third time this season, the Redskins have a rookie that’s eligible for the NFL’s Rookie of the Week honors (Ryan Kerrigan in Weeks 1 and 4).

This time, it’s running back Roy Helu, whose franchise high 14 receptions and 146 total yards earned him a shot at the title.  This was Helu’s first start of his career, and he led the team in both rushing yards and receiving yards.  His 146 total yards was just under half of the team’s 303 total yards of offense.
