Redskins Rally In South Beach

The Redskins touched down in Miami this afternoon–the southern-most settlement of Redskins Nation in the lower-48.  Players went off to meetings, while members of the front office went off to rally with the local nationals, a Redskins fan group out of Boca Raton.

The event was held at Duffy’s Sports Grill, a magical place where there’s a big bar inside, a big deck outside, complete with a swimming pool and river boat access.

Voice of the Redskins, Larry Michael, was on-hand to conduct the ceremonies, but it was former Redskins great Billy Kilmer who was the man of the hour.  Kilmer was there with his wife, and signed autographs and talked war stories with some of the more experienced fans. To of the Hogettes were also in attendance, helping “Chief Bill Z” to lead the fans in several rounds of “Hail to the Redskins!”
