Good news for Redskins gamers, as your virtual home team on EA Sports Madden ’12 has been updated following another week of action. Thanks to the first win in six weeks and the stellar play of the individuals on the field, there’s a generally upward trend for this week’s updates.
Week in and week out, the Redskins remain one of the most tinkered rosters in all of the virtual NFL. Here’s the Week 13 rundown:
There were seven players with increases this week, but none greater than left guard Maurice Hurt, who jumped from a 62 overall to a respectable 67. Hurt has really excelled in his opportunities this season, proving that his overall value exceeds his seventh-round designation.
As with most young players, Hurt still has room to improve, but so far he’s been a serviceable replacement starter on a thin line. He also showed great leadership last week by getting in between his teammates and other players when things were getting out of hand on Sunday. That’s the definition of character, and he likely helped cooler minds to prevail and keep his teammates emotionally and physically in the game.
Nice work Mo’ Hurt, and congratulations on the virtual promotion.
