Alexander’s Unorthodox Bowling Style

via SportsBUZZ

Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander has never been an ‘orthodox’ NFL player.  During his time in the pros, he’s learned offensive, defensive and special teams playbooks, changed body types through weight loss, lined up all over the field, and dedicated his time to his fans and teammates.

But when he isn’t preparing for his work on the field, Alexander likes to take his talents to the bowling alley.  And wouldn’t you know, he’s found success with a unique bowling style as well (via SportsBUZZVid):

I can sympathize with Alexander’s plight to a degree.  As someone with big hands and slim fingers, I usually have to use the ball with finger holes designed for ogres.

Also, it is a tad ironic that one of the more coach-able guys over his tenure on the team doesn’t really want pointers on his bowling game.  Go figure.

In other conversations that I’ve had with Alexander, I know that he goes bowling quite a bit, especially in the offseason.  Always looking for a new challenge, Alexander is actually hosting a Bowling Party at King Pinz in Leesburg, Va.

If you’re interested in attending, here are the details, via his Facebook page:

Ten lucky winners will receive two free games of bowling plus food and drinks with Lorenzo! The party will be Sunday, January 29th at King Pinz in Leesburg at 6:00 PM. Just fill out the entry form for a chance to win! Don’t forget that for every friend that you recommend you increase your chances of winning!

So either go to his Facebook page to fill out the form, or you can follow his Pilates studio on Twitter for an opportunity to win:

Alexander encourages everyone to enter to win, and by all means, good luck.  But if selected, you better bring your A-game (orthodox or otherwise) if you expect to compete with the One Man Gang.
