Papa John’s Kicks Off Dallas Week Proper

It’s rainy and gray in the Nation’s Capital today, making a Monday with no organized nap time that much more fun.

But on a day like today, there are three things that should make every Redskins fan smile. First of all, the Redskins are back at full strength after the bye week, bolstering the defense with two regulars from last year: Jarvis Jenkins and Rob Jackson.

Secondly, the Dallas Cowboys–this week’s opponent–lost in heart-warming fashion yesterday, with Tony Romo leading the world in passing yards and touchdowns, before serving up one of his patented Romo Turnovers.

The third reason for Redskins fans to be excited is Papa John’s 10 FREE TOPPINGS special, for Monday only!

Why 10, you might ask? Because 10 is the number worn by Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. If this were a Cowboys’ promotion, the most they could deliver would be nine toppings for Tony Romo.

But then he would give away half of them on the way to your house. But I digress…here is the fine print:

Papa John’s wants to shout out to all Redskins fans with a whopping 10 free toppings on a large pizza for just $9.99!

There you go; wasn’t so fine, now was it?

If left to my own devices, my 10 toppings would be as follows: Green Peppers, Onions, Black Olives, Roma Tomatoes, Pepperoni, Beef, Spicy Italian Sausage, Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Extra Cheese (x2)

What will YOU put on your Papa John’s 10 free toppings pizza?

Check out an EXTRA CHEESY version of what happened earlier this afternoon at our planning/production meeting here at Redskins Park (starring Larry Michael, Brian Tinsman, Ross Hollebon, Brian Gleason, and brand new blogger Gabe Hiatt):
